First Post from Downtown London

Hi All,

We are in to our 4th day in London. We have seen all the mandatory sights. Best of all was our visit to Lords where I touch the hallowed turf and we were able to watch part of a local game.

The weather has been terrific, approx 25C everyday. It is really interesting to see how many Poms get out in the sunshine, at every chance, and how many are now sunburnt.

We were at Hampton Court Palace yesterday. The largest castle in the UK. Set on 60 acres with an inbuilt golf course.

We have come to grips with the Undergound and use it like the experienced travellers we are. And, after the efforts of the day we have also mastered the art of ordering a pint or two..
Don't drink the English beer though. It's not good for you.

Tomorrow we go Barge Arsing from Chirk and will be touch soon.

Some photos for your interest...

It looks amazing there! Much nicer than in winter when I went!

Look forward to hearing about your canal adventures!

I am sure you are right David.

Mum likes London more as well. More sun less cold.

Cheers
